Macrame Techniques and Projects
From my rather extensive collection (hahaha) ;) tonight I'm pleased to describe a fun book brimming with cool knotting projects. I like how the illustrations are so clear too -- I was able to use them as a guide for the Kidlet when she was making those friendship bracelets with the children in her Sunday School class. Anyway, let me share with you the contents of this gem from the past:

Macrame Masterworks. This is the wishbook section -- filled with completed projects that surely will inspire the creativity in you... there's even one for baby!

It is from my own copy of the book.

Macrame is also filled with wonderful ideas and "get you started right away" projects sure to please. One thing I particularly liked is the section near the front which discusses the various fibers used. There are pictures showing the same project in several different ones, and the book explains the results from each. Oh, and the gizmos (y'all must know I love my gizmos) are great -- the supplies needed aren't exotic, but the work surely does look beautiful.

You'll have fun learning new stitches such as Mounting Knots and Overhand Knots, Half Hitch and Double Half Hitch, Double Half Hitch Rows, Double Half Hitch Patterns, Half Hitch and Double Half Hitch Chains, Shaping with Double Half Hitches, Vertical Double Half Hitch and Alternate Diagonal Double Half Hitch, Square Knot and Alternate Square Knot, Half Knot and Square Knot Chains, Bobbie Knot and Berry Pattern, Josephine Knot and Turk's-head Knot, Picots, and, Wrapping and Plaiting. The thing is, with the shaded illustrations, you'll learn each of these progressively -- or can jump right to the knot you'd like to learn.

For the lucky buyer, Macrame Techniques and Projects will surely inspire and advance your skills. Have fun!
