The Betty Furness Westinghouse Cook Book

These pictures are provided as a courtesy.
They are from my own copy of the book.

Description: Prepared under the direction of Julia Kiene, "The Betty Furness Westinghouse Cook Book" was conceived in 1949 -- Mrs. Furness did product demonstrations on television showing exactly how a modern kitchen could create wonderful dinners. The show was good [so I heard -- I'm much too young to recall first hand (and if you believe that I have a lovely bridge in Brooklyn...)]

Worn, and mine includes newspaper recipes (inside covers) plus taped binding. It's not perfect by any means, but is a TREASURE - simply wonderful recipes sure to please using real ingredients versus gourmet shop stuff that costs a fortune. I liked in particular the section at the back called "A Modern Version of the Back of Grandmother's Cook Book" filled with practical advice to the young homemaker.
