Make Your Own Groceries by Daphne Metaxas Hartwig
You're going to LOVE this book, and you'll learn lots of ways to save money. Is there any reason to give your perfectly good money to a company who mixes dry ingredients and puts them in a sealed paper gizmo thingy?!  Listen, I like the fancy stuff too -- my oatmeal with apples and cinnamon, my hot chocolate on cold winter mornings, my flavored coffees and such... but, alas, I was born beautiful instead of rich. [you may stop laughing right now!]

I'd go so far as to recommend this book for voyagers too. There are a lot of recipes you can use aboard your boat -- by making the prepackaged stuff yourself you'll save money, packaging weight and space. Portions are provided for you to put them in Ziploc baggies or regular containers. Canning too -- though some of the items require refrigeration or freezing, there's enough to be worthwhile. This is not your standard cookbook that someone's tacked "marine" on the cover to raise the price. It's useful.
